DESIGN:

A painter and a photographer, Antonín Střížek (*1959) works primarily with narrative in the creation of his images. In approaching molten-glass sculpting, he draws on his experience in his primary media, enriching it with painterly accents. He is the author of the stage curtain at the Prague State Opera.

Matyas Pavlik (*1984) introduces the traditional technique of cutting glass into his glass sculptures, where the medium of glasswork is deployed to investigate the material’s optical qualities.
