The foundation of his work is spontaneous and exceptionally precise drawing, which he develops into paintings, objects, and spatial installations. Through this work, he explores a wide variety of personal, social, and psychological themes. In his work, he uses paper, fabric, wood, and found materials, prioritizing the raw quality of the surface and the trace of an immediate gesture. His paintings thus very often explore the tension between a familiar environment and unsettling details.
He draws inspiration from childhood memories, the school environment, family relationships, and a sense of vulnerability. He then transforms familiar situations into psychological scenes where innocence unexpectedly clashes with absurdity, violence, or loneliness.
He is a graduate of the drawing studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. In the past, he has exhibited his artwork not only in Prague, but also in Vienna, London, Brussels, New York, and Dresden. His works are currently part of many prominent public and private museum and gallery collections.
