His artistic practice is rooted primarily in classical painting, which he often complements with photography, drawing, and interventions in glass objects. His distinctive style is characterized by precise composition, subtle color palettes, and a keen focus on everyday motifs.
He draws inspiration from interiors, landscapes, architecture, everyday objects, and fragments of daily life. In his paintings, he works with nostalgia, irony, and subtle humor, with memory and the tension between reality and imagination playing an important role.
He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, where he later served as a professor and headed the painting studio. Throughout his career, he has held dozens of solo exhibitions, and his extensive body of work is widely represented in many major public and private collections, including the National Gallery in Prague and other institutions in the Czech Republic and abroad.
