Michal Šeba

Audiovisual artist, photographer
Michal Šeba was born in 1980. He studied stage design at the Žižkov Secondary School of Applied Arts and subsequently at UMPRUM, in the photography studio, where his work—a series of large-format landscapes exhibited at Prague’s Rudolfinum—earned him an award from the university’s rector. From a young age, he has been involved in music and has combined his interests in sound, space, and art—for example, in the multimedia project ACUO, which could be seen on the streets of Czech cities until 2015. As co-owner and managing director, he operates the Věčná loviště animal crematorium, designed by architect Petr Hájek, which won the 2021 Building of the Year award. He is also a co-owner of the R&D studio Auto Commuting, which is developing the ideal urban e-bike. He enjoys learning about new technologies and experimenting with different materials. Given his knowledge of the issues surrounding the passing of pets, he accepted an offer to design one of the custom urns. WORK , *The Tear* Cast glass sculpture, blown glass Lhotský Glassworks, 2024
